Permanent marker stain is common for marble desks. Itcan happen anytime. You can spill ink on your marble desk while marking something important. Also, you can drop the marker on the desk and stain it. But well, the following step-by-step guide can help you to get rid of it:
STEP_1
Take some rubbing alcohol and put it all overthe marker stain. Ensure that it is enough to cover the mark and soak the marker ink. Let the alcohol sit for several minutes. By this time, it will soak the marble and the stained area.
STEP_2
After a few minutes, start rubbing the areagently with a nylon scrub pad. After scrubbing, blot up the excess liquid with a paper towel. It will remove the marker stain from the desk. But if the stain has yet to disappear, continue the following steps.
STEP_3
Pour a small amount of distilled water overthe marker stain. It will saturate the area and help lift the marker stain away.
STEP_4
Now take out a mixing bowl and pour severaltablespoons of baking soda or talc into it. Add Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2)to the bowl and stir it until you get a thick paste-like structure. Make sure that it has no liquid consistency before using.

Now scoop out this poultice paste over themarker stain on your marble desk and spread it out.

Now gather a piece of plastic wrap and smooth itout over the paste. Take some masking tape and secure the wrap. Leave the paste for a or two days and allow it to harden in place.
STEP_7
After a couple of days, remove the plastic wrapand masking tapes. Wipe the paste away with a wet sponge. Rinse the area with distilled water. Once done, dry the area with a white soft cloth. Make sure that you are not using any other coloured clothes, as they can further stain your white marble desk.
STEP_8
If you can still see the stains of permanentmarker on your marble desk, redo the previous steps from STEP_4 to STEP_7
again.
